How MIGIGO helpsWe help from document review through preparation of the submission PDF.
  • We find the information needed for the application in your passport, English-language bank certificate, and other documents.
  • We use the information you have reviewed and corrected to prepare the Japan Pension Service claim form. You may review and make corrections as many times as needed before final confirmation.
  • We prepare separate documents for the Japan Pension Service and guidance for you to keep. If selected, we also provide a power of attorney and customer information sheet to send later to MIGIGO's recommended tax accountant. You can download the finalized PDFs, which are also sent to your registered email and registered recovery email.
  • After final confirmation, the content cannot be changed or regenerated. While MIGIGO retains it, only the same confirmed PDF is provided again.
  • For Employees' Pension members, we prepare the power of attorney, customer information sheet and mailing instructions for requesting a tax refund from MIGIGO's recommended tax accountant.

  • Review the information entered by MIGIGO and correct what is necessary.
  • Review the completed application and attachments.
  • Print and sign the application by hand.
  • Submit directly through e-Gov or by international mail.
Separate processesJapan Pension Service review and tax-refund filing proceed separately.
  • The Japan Pension Service reviews and decides eligibility and the Pension Lump-sum Withdrawal Payment amount.
  • Tax-refund filing for Employees' Pension members proceeds after the Pension Lump-sum Withdrawal Payment decision.
  • The tax-refund service fee and remittance charges of MIGIGO's recommended tax accountant are separate from the MIGIGO service fee.
Cancellation and refundsYou may request a full refund within 14 days of payment, provided you have not finalized your application by downloading the PDF.
  • Refunds are unavailable after you finalize your application by downloading the PDF.
